Recognizing the challenges facing Egypt and the region, the Department of Educational Studies contributes to education reform by providing theoretical and applied components needed to build the capacity of professionals and policymakers in the education system. The department consists of various academic and professional development programs.
Academic Programs

Educational Studies Minor
AUC’s minor in education studies is a great first step in exploring the field of education, understanding the issues related to education today, and developing the lifelong skills to deliver knowledge to others.

International and Comparative Education: MA
AUC’s MA in international and comparative education (MA-ICED) produces students who are agents of change in educational development, policy, higher education internationalization, and international schools. Students will develop the professional skills to view educational reform in a global context and the analytic skills for understanding how the social, political, and economic elements of education impact quality and outcomes.

Inclusive Education: Graduate Diploma
The Graduate Diploma in Inclusive Education is offered by the Departments of Psychology and Educational Studies. This Diploma is designed as a one-year (two-semester) program.
