Our students study how people understand and document the human experience, the relationships between people and societies, and the ways individuals and communities express themselves. Students acquire advanced research and writing skills and develop intercultural communication practices, ethical reasoning, and aesthetic appreciation.
HUSS encourages students to ask difficult questions and to use their imagination to deal with theoretical and tangible world problems. Faculty are actively engaged in their own research which informs their teaching and often offers students authentic work experiences.
We are closely connected to the larger community; students often apply what they learn in class projects, service learning projects, and community partnerships in both Egypt and the Global South. This gives HUSS students authentic work experience leading to career preparation and experience.

HUSS gave me the ability to work with different people. This ability is one of the key things for entrepreneurs to succeed. In TBS we hire attitude, characters and then we teach them how to do their jobs. HUSS gives the opportunity to study something that gives the best experience of a life time.
I owe my gratitude to AUC and HUSS for allowing me to develop myself academically and co-curricular. It has been an extraordinary experience that falls right within my studies and interests in multilateral affairs and international relations.
