Enrolling in AUC’s MA in Philosophy was a bold step, driven by my passion for fundamental questions, particularly in political theory. The curriculum soon expanded my horizons, immersing me in thinkers such as Aristotle, Ghazzālī, Kant and Nietzsche. Professors challenged us to think critically, making complex ideas engaging. Learning alongside peers enriched my experience significantly. My thesis on Islamic philosophy – guided by inspiring professors – marked the culmination of this journey. Beyond academics, this program with its many extra-curricular talks reshaped my worldview, equipping me with essential analytical tools.

I came to the University with a very fixed plan: I was to become a political science student and, after graduation, do whatever political scientists do. Then philosophy happened! Not merely has it truly changed the way I think, but it also opened before me countless avenues whose existence I hadn’t even suspected. I can truly say that I have never made a wiser decision than taking the philosophical leap!
