In Search of Latifa Al-Zayyat and the Translation Movement

Dr. Khairy Douma talks about the late Latifa Al-Zayyat's Ph.D. dissertation which remained a mystery for quite some time. He talks to us about the personal life of Al-Zayyat, her choice of not publishing her dissertation, and the precious contents of her book. You can listen to Douma read excerpts of Al-Zayyat's book which until this day remains hardly accessible to the public. Al-Zayyat's book proved to be a founding text which Douma believes must be read by every student of Translation Studies.
