Arabic Literature Minor
Program Overview
This minor allows students to delve deeper into classical and modern Arabic literary production and read texts in various genres, including poetry, prose, novels, short stories, drama well as film and media adaptations. Some of the courses are taught in translation. It allows students to be better acquainted with Arabic literary production from different corners of the Arab world and Egypt.
Career Prospects
This minor is especially useful for students interested in literature in general, reading Arabic texts, and writing. Literature majors and communications and Marketing majors find it particularly helpful and complementary to their studies. It helps students who want to pursue careers related to research, communications, media, journalism, translation, cultural management, diplomacy, public service, and teaching.
